This section provides a range of information helpful as a CIT program develops. About CIT provides a range of background information on the CIT model. As an area begins to develop a CIT program, Starting CIT provides the steps necessary to engage the community. Once a community is ready for CIT training, a sample National Curriculum is available. As the program moves towards implementation, sample CIT Policies and Procedures are available that including standard operating procedures, law enforcement CIT Coordinator duties, and CIT patrol division reporting forms. Finally, the CIT Core Elements consensus document provides an overview of key elements making up a complete CIT program.
